Michelle E. Petersen, a resident of Potsdam, recently received a bachelor of fine arts in art and design from the School of Art and Design at Alfred University.
Petersen is the daughter of Margaret Coffman & Mark Petersen of Potsdam. She is a graduate of Potsdam high school.
Robert H. Benmosche, CEO of AIG Incorporated, urged the graduates to “deal with the hand that’s been dealt you.” The journey starts with “what you love to do,” said Benmosche, but within the confines of today’s economy, graduates must also “be practical … think about what opportunities are there” and “be flexible.”
