Potsdam native Colonel (Ret.) Brian R. Page has been selected for the New York State Senate Veterans’ Hall of Fame.

Page was commissioned as a second lieutenant in field artillery at Clarkson University in May 1987.

In his career Page has received instruction and training in Field Artillery Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Airborne, Air Assault and Ranger schools, and Command and General Staff School.

He has served in Korea, Iraq and many stateside posts.

One of Colonel Page’s most memorable and rewarding experiences during his service was training the 1st Brigade, 9th Division of the new Iraqi Army which resulted in two US battalions returning to the United States.

Page was nominated by Sen. Betty Little, R-Quemsbury, who represents Parishville, Clare, Colton, Hopkinton and Piercefield in St. Lawrence County, plus to the east, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Warren and Washington counties, making up the 45th Senate District.
