POTSDAM -- Two members of the Potsdam Public Museum staff recently attended a conference in Albany sponsored by the Museum Association Of New York State and Museumwise.
The conference was titled, “New York State’s Museums in Conversation: How do we (Re) Vision Our Museums?”
Ford Bell, President of the American Association of Museums, spoke on the challenges currently facing museums. Representatives from New York State Council on the Arts, New York State Council for the Humanities, American Association of State and Local History and the Preservation league of New York funded the conference and were available for questions and answers for two days.
The museum received a grant from Museumwise for $700 to attend the conference which covered travel, hotel, conference registration, and meals.
