Potsdam, Canton, Massena, Ogdensburg, Madrid, Winthrop residents initiated into Phi Kappa Phi at SUNY Potsdam

The following St. Lawrence County residents were recently initiated into the honor society Phi Kappa Phi, one of the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor societies for all academic disciplines.

• Robert Cameron, Massena, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Emily Cunningham, Ogdensburg, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Patrick Cerio, Canton, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Philip Paige, Madrid, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Randy Breunig, Potsdam, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Kathleen Kane, Potsdam, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Megan Snow, Potsdam, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Tina Donaldson, Potsdam, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Mary Catlin, Potsdam, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

• Megan Frary, Winthrop, was initiated at SUNY Potsdam

These residents are among approximately 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors, having at least 72 semester hours, are eligible for membership.

Graduate students in the top 10 percent may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff, and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
