Cheyenne Padgett of Winthrop and Holly Cruger of Potsdam were recently named to the spring 2016 dean's list at Hofstra University.
Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the dean's list.
Hofstra University is a private university just 25 miles from New York City and all its cultural, recreational and professional opportunities.
“Students can choose from undergraduate and graduate offerings in liberal arts and sciences, business, engineering and applied science, communication, education, health sciences and human services and honors studies,” according to a press release from Hofstra.
Hofstra also offers the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies, and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.
Named to the 2014 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, and one of only two schools chosen to host consecutive presidential debates, Hofstra University is a community of more than 11,000 students, the release said.
