Hammond and Potsdam residents were among the Paul Smith's College students to win the 2015 Yankee Small College Conference golf championship in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Hayden Kline of Hammond and Alec Sloan of Potsdam helped defeat Southern Maine Community College in the tournament final by 14 strokes.
The Bobcats' total was 348, their best score to date.
The team competed in four YSCC tournaments this year and won all four, according to a press release from the college.
"This shows the heart and character of all the players who competed," said coach Rodney Bushey. "Aug. 30 was our first practice, and the first tournament was Sept. 2. This team far exceeded what many thought it would do. We're very proud of this team and its accomplishments."
