OGDENSBURG -- Madison Wescott was recently chosen as the May Ogdensburg Free Academy student of the month.
Wescott is in tenth grade. “Madison is a sophomore and is a member of Key Club. This month she has been working to create and chair a Yuda bands project for which our members will sell handmade Yuda bands bracelets, the proceeds from which will help fund the education of a student from Zimbabwe, said Christina Frank, Key Club advisor.
“Through Madison’s organization and leadership, today we had the opportunity to meet our student, Joyful, via Skype. The project is one that Madison brought back from the New York District Key Club leadership Training Conference and has organized on her own,” Frank said.
Madison received a certificate from OFA, a “Chamber Dollars” check and a plaque from the chamber.
