Douglas F. Stitt, a 1986 graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy, has been selected for promotion to the rank of brigadier general in the United States Army.
Stitt is serving as director of the Officer Personnel Management Directorate with U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Ky.
He has served in the military for 27 years.
Stitt is the son of Janet A. and Wesley L. Stitt of Canton.
