October High School Students of the Month chosen at Norwood-Norfolk Central School

NORWOOD -- The staff at Norwood-Norfolk Central School has announced the Students of the Month for October. These students are selected for their academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community.

• Freshman Kiera Fetter is the daughter of Robin and Kent Fetter of Norwood. She enjoys running, playing piano, and watching Netflix. After high school she will attend an engineering or medical school.

• Sophomore Karl Liebfred is the nephew of Jodi Liebfred of Raymondville and son of Joshua Beard of South Colton. Karl enjoys riding his motorcycle, hunting, and fishing. Karl’s plan is to join the Marines after graduation.

• Junior Hailyn Coller is the daughter of Tara and Richard Coller of Norfolk. Hailyn is interested in the medical field and the military. She plans to attend college in Vermont to become a physician assistant.

• Senior Donald Shanty III is the son of Bethena and Donald Shanty, Jr. of Norwood. Donald loves music and computers. He plans to attend college and study for a degree in computer science.

The Norwood-Norfolk PTSA solicits gift cards from local businesses for each student. The businesses that donated are the Hotel Grande and Al Smiths of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.

Also, the Teacher’s Association presents the senior student of the month with a gift card to the Clarkson Bookstore.
