BRASHER FALLS -- Brasher Falls Central School District Athletic Director Joey Reome has been awarded the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY) Glen McGinnis Dedication Award.
Reome coaches the boys’ varsity basketball team and is the district’s athletic director.
He started as JV coach in 2002, and was an assistant for the varsity team before then. Reome became varsity coach in 2006.
He also spearheaded the Little Larries Youth Basketball program for boys and girls in 2006 and continues to lead it now.
“Joey has been a vital part of our school community for many years, and he is very deserving of this recognition,” said Superintendent Robert Stewart.
The Glen McGinnis Dedication Award is awarded annually to a coach in New York state who exhibits outstanding dedication to the game of basketball while promoting good sportsmanship and professionalism within the coaching ranks.
