The following students are participating in St. Lawrence University's New York City Semester for spring 2012.
• John A. Vari, of Norwood; Vari is a member of the Class of 2012 at St. Lawrence. He graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School. Vari is participating in an internship at Christie's Auction House
• Elizabeth J. Vitek, of Potsdam; Vitek is a member of the Class of 2013 at St. Lawrence. She graduated from Potsdam Central High School. Vitek is participating in an internship at Specific Object
This is the inaugural semester of the program, through which students have the opportunity to participate in a finance or arts internship in New York, along with rigorous academic study with St. Lawrence faculty.
The New York City Semester adds to three existing off-campus study programs in the United States - the Adirondack Semester; a semester in Washington, D.C. at American University; and a semester at historically black Fisk University in Nashville, TN - and programs of study in 17 countries.
