NORWOOD -- Potsdam Elks recently honored students from Norwood-Norfolk middle school with 'Flyer of the Quarter' awards.
The award recognizes students who demonstrate courtesy, sportsmanship, responsibility, caring and a positive attitude.
First quarter: Brandin Cousineau, 8th grade
Second quarter: Kenyon Smith, 7th grade
Third quarter: Skylor Liberty, 6th grade, local winner of the Potsdam Elks Drug Awareness Essay Contest for his essay, "Now Now-Not Ever'
Fourth quarter: Abigail Tessier, 7th grade, local winner of the Potsdam Elks Americanism Essay Contest for her essay, "Why I'm Proud to be an American"
