NORWOOD -- Norwood-Norfolk middle school recently named its students of the quarter for the third quarter.
Recipients included Kimberly Rivers, Emma Breault, Ryley Ashley, Jacob Ballan, Timothy Monroe, Erin Dickinson, Khelsey Charter, and Anthony Dillabough.
Teachers from grades five through eight chose two students from each grade level who “demonstrated the qualities of academic success, good citizenship, school and community involvement and leadership,” according to a press release from the school.
Students received a plaque and homework pass, as well as a special field trip.
Grade six teachers also chose Thomas Hopsicker as “Flyer of the Quarter,” sponsored by the Potsdam Elks Club.
Flyers of the Quarter demonstrate “sportsmanship, courtesy, responsibility, caring and have a positive attitude,” the release said.
