Skylar Fetter, a Norwood-Norfolk Central School student, recently placed second at the North Country High School Regional Student Art Show.
Parishville-Hopkinton student Logan Reed received an honorable mention.
The show was held at North Country Community College’s Malone campus from March 4 to April 2.
“The quality of student art was amazing,” said Tina LaMour, assistant professor of art.
High school students from 17 local schools participated and submitted sculpture, drawing, design, painting, prints and photography.
The other award winners were:
• Best in Show: Hannah Gochenaur, Saranac Lake
• 1st place: Joel Cook, Ticonderoga
• 3rd place: Erin Tatro, Franklin Academy, Malone
• Honorable Mention: Jake Rider, Elizabethtown-Lewis
• Honorable Mention: Davis Milhill, Lake Placid
• Honorable Mention: Emily Manfred, Moriah CSD
• Honorable Mention: Niiostosera'ah Thompson, Salmon River
