NORWOOD – BOCES Seaway Career and Technical Education Center in Norwood has announced Maddison Sochia has been chosen as the Potsdam Rotary Club Student of the Month for January 2018.
Maddison is a student in the Culinary Arts Program. She is from Norwood-Norfolk Central School. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Michelle Sochia.
She is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and has been accepted into the Culinary Program at Jefferson Community College.
“Maddison is responsible and dependable,” Culinary Arts Instructor Theresa Smith said. “She is a pleasure to have in class. She takes pride in her work. She works well with her peers and adults.”
Students in the Culinary Arts Program are provided with entry-level skills in quantity and quality of food preparation.
Upon completion of the program, students are qualified to seek employment in this rapidly growing field or to continue their education at one of the many colleges offering Culinary Arts.
