NORWOOD -- Norwood-Norfolk Central School recently named its middle school students of the quarter and “flyer” of the quarter for the fourth quarter.
Students of the quarter were Jace Williamson, Kayly-Jaye Belmore, Josh Hargett, Lauren Cota, Jude Lauzon, Lyndon Cook, Gillianna Simcox, and Rhett Ashley.
Teachers from grades five through eight chose two students from each grade level who demonstrated “the qualities of academic success, good citizenship, school and community involvement and leadership,” according to a press release.
Students received a plaque and homework pass, as well as a special field trip.
Grade six teachers also chose a “flyer” of the quarter, Anthony Fiacco, sponsored by the Potsdam Elks.
Flyers of the quarter demonstrate “sportsmanship, courtesy, responsibility, caring and have a positive attitude,” the release said.
