Courtney Delosh, Nicholes Streeter, Lily Parmeter and Emily Thomas were recently chosen as students of the month for September at Norwood-Norfolk Central School.
Students are selected for their “academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community,” according to a press release from the school.
Delosh was chosen as the freshman student of the month for September. She is the daughter of Marie Barkley and Joseph Delosh of Norwood.
She plays soccer and enjoys spending time with friends. She plans to attend college and become a state trooper, the press release said.
Streeter was chosen as the sophomore student of the month for September. He is the son of Keri Streeter of Norfolk.
Streeter is interested in technology, the military, how the brain works and science. He is a member of IMPETUS. His future plan is to succeed in high school and to go to college, according to the release.
Parmeter was chosen as the junior student of the month for September. She is the daughter of John and Laurie Parmeter of Norfolk.
Parmeter runs cross country and track. She is a member of Spanish Club, Travel Club, and Varsity Club. She plans to become to a nurse, the release said.
Thomas was chosen as the senior student of the month for September. She is the daughter of Scott and Cindy Thomas of Chase Mills.
She is very interested in art and photography. She is a member of Varsity Club, Spanish Club, National Honor Society and Stage Crew. She plays soccer and golf. Upon completion of high school, she plans to attend SUNY Potsdam or SUNY Plattsburgh to become an art teacher, according to the release.
Each student that was chosen received a gift card from a local restaurant, including Hotel Grande and Al Smith’s of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.
