NORWOOD -- Norwood native Brian Kern recently published a poetry collection titled “Deep New Snow.”
The collection includes “Bag by the Door,” which recently won a national contest.
Kern is a 1974 graduate of Norwood-Norfolk Central School and a 1978 graduate of Canton ATC.
After leaving the Norwood area, Kern served two years in West Africa with the Peace Corps. He has also served as a defense department civilian. He then spent several years working as a journalist, before returning to federal service in West Virginia in 2008.
