NORWOOD -- Norwood Kiwanis recently recognized two students for success in athletics at Norwood-Norfolk Central School.
Kyle Fulk was named the 2017 Kiwanis Athlete of the Year in cross country and track and field. He was on the Class D cross country state championship team in 2016, three time track league MVP, and wins in track 1600 and 3200 in 2014 and 2016. He plans to attend Notre Dame this fall.
Norwood Kiwanis has skipped recognizing Athletes of the Year for some recent years, and is making up for that now.
Colleen Cotey Boak, former NNCS cross country and track and field standout, was recognized as the 2008 Kiwanis Athlete of the Year. She was named Section 10 MVP in 2006 and to First Team All-Northern for five years in a row. She went on to successfully compete for SUNY Plattsburgh.
