POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam honors Norwood student for his hard work, through the 2012 Success Through Achievement and Commitment Awards.
James Doran, a freshman who is undeclared in choosing a major field of study, was selected to receive the award based upon his selection for the Dean's List in Fall 2011, his involvement in EOP, selection for the EOP Academic Achievement Award and his participation in the EOP Men's Group and the First Year Success Seminar.
The College's Student Success Center established the awards to provide financial support to encourage persistence and continuing success among the recipients. They were presented by Tamara Durant, director of the Student Success Center. SSC staff members and other College faculty and staff members made the three $500 awards possible through their donations.
