CANTON -- Two local students were recently inducted into St. Lawrence University honor societies.
Hannah E. Kingsley of Gouverneur has been inducted into the Irving Bacheller Society, the Department of English's honorary society.
Kingsley is a member of the Class of 2018, is majoring in English and global studies and attended Gouverneur High School.
Gabriel E. Thomas of Norfolk was inducted into Sigma Gamma Epsilon, the national honorary society for earth sciences.
Thomas is a member of the class of 2018, is majoring in geology and attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School.
