The Ogdensburg Free Academy Key Club was recently honored as one of the state’s top youth service organizations, with teens winning nine awards at the New York State Leadership Training Conference in Albany.
The awards and honors included:
• Diamond Level Award for New York’s top service program, tying with six other clubs around the state, including Norwood-Norfolk Key Club.
• Outstanding President Jordan Snyder.
• Outstanding Vice President Jack Kelly.
• Outstanding Treasurer Tessa Richards.
• Outstanding Sophomore Maria Pelusi
• Second place Single Service Bronze Division for staining Kids Kingdom Playground.
• Second place Major Emphasis Program for its Santa Land and children’s related programs.
• Second place Governor’s Project for its hunger related projects.
• Third place Kiwanis Relations for its extensive activities with the Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club and its youth leadership and service programs.
“The OFA Key Club, under the leadership of President Jordan Snyder, was honored for its extensive award winning youth service and leadership development program,” said Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club Advisor James Reagen.
“With over 250 clubs across New York State, the Ogdensburg club was recognized by judges for its student-led community service program,” said OFA Key Club Faculty Advisor Christina Frank.
The OFA Key Club is sponsored by the Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club.
