MASSENA -- Austin R. Murray recently became the newest black belt at the Massena U.S. Combat Dojo.
Murray was judged by a panel of seven black belt judges, Sensei Joe Vierno, Sensei Jonathan G. French, Sensei Talia Rodriguez, Sensei Renee Serviss Murray, Sensei Jack Bain, Sensei Colin Lewis, and Master Jonathan A. French.
Murray is a lifetime member of the AMAWW Martial Art Association, and the youngest member of the AMAWW Black Belt Council.
Murray completed a two-hour test demonstrating the skills required to be a black belt in two separate martial art styles, Joshiki and ITF Tae Kwon Do.
French and the other black belt judges “were very impressed with his skills,” according to a press release from the dojo.
