CANTON -- Lindsey J. Haggett of Massena was recently elected to St. Lawrence University's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, a national academic honor society.
A member of the class of 2013, Haggett majored in biochemistry and was a graduate of Massena Central High School.
Election is based on grade-point average and completion of appropriate credits toward a St. Lawrence University degree.
To be considered, students must earn a 3.5 or better cumulative grade-point average by the close of their junior year and have completed six semesters at St. Lawrence.
Transfer students must have completed four semesters before they are eligible for consideration.
