MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital recently recognized Carla Premo for 33 years of employment at the hospital.
Premo has worked in the nutrition services, business office and environmental services departments since 1981. She retired director of the environmental services department.
She started her career at MMH as a dietary attendant, and then moved into the business office as a clerk cashier and then an account clerk. In 1992, she moved to the environmental services department and then took on the directorship in 1997.
The hospital presented her with an engraved clock as a token of recognition.
The engraving says “In grateful recognition for 33 Years of dedicated service and commitment to Massena Memorial Hospital. And with sincere appreciation for the many valuable contributions made towards the hospital’s success; 3/25/81 – 7/30/14.”
“Carla was a very dedicated employee and would be greatly missed. She was very helpful in the hospital’s many successful Joint Commission Surveys of Environment of Care and the work she did for the Safety Committee. She was truly pleasant and enjoyable to work with," MMH senior director of ancillary services Mark Brouillette said in a prepared statement.
