MASSENA -- Peter Bashaw, Massena Rotarian, was recently honored by the Rotary Foundation with a Citation for Meritorious Service.
The award recognizes individuals who have provided significant active service to the Rotary Foundation for more than one year.
Bashaw is a past president of the Massena Rotary Club and was a Rotary District 7040 Governor.
The foundation is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 1917 that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs.
It has grown from an initial contribution of $26.50 to more than $55 million.
Bashaw is pictured with Massena Rotary Club president Sue Bellor and the current edition of The Rotarian magazine, which contains a list of award winners.
