Three St. Lawrence County residents were recently promoted by the New York Army National Guard.
Amjad Hussain of Potsdam serves with the 827th Engineer Company and was promoted to the rank of specialist.
Wing Yu of Massena serves with the Joint Force Headquarters and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Forrest Brockway of Massena serves with the 206th Military Police Company and was promoted to the rank of private first class.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential, according to a press release.
