MASSENA -- Chateaugay school teacher recently Evan Rogers of Massena passed his first-degree black belt test in both Kang Shi Do and Tatakai Aikido.
The test was given at the U.S. Combat Dojo in Massena.
Rogers’ technique and facility in both disciplines was judged by teacher Jonathan A. French, nidan Jonathan G. French, sensei Joseph Vierno and sensei Bill Jaggers from U.S. Combat Dojo.
Rogers is also a member of the AMAWW Black Belt Council.
“Rogers did an amazing job and the judges were highly impressed with his skills learned from years of training,” French said in an email.
