MADRID -- Dia M. MacKay of Madrid is the featured Jefferson Community College Honors Program student of the month for February 2016.
MacKay is a dual major in criminal justice and paralegal.
For one of her honors options, she studied modern portrayals of mental disorders.
After graduating from Jefferson, MacKay plans to transfer to SUNY Cortland to double major in criminology and Spanish.
She is preparing for a career in criminal justice as a border patrol agent or K-9 officer.
