CANTON -- Little River Community School announced the graduation of Emma Jean Burnham.
A graduation ceremony was held at the school May 15 with family, friends, and the school community in attendance.
Burnham, the daughter of Todd and Kelly Burnham, Canton, has attended Little River's four room school house for the past five years. She graduated with a GPA of 3.86.
Burnham has a special interest in horseback riding and training, especially dressage. This past year she has been a working student at the Ellen Miller Riding School in North Ferrisburg, Vermont, while finishing her academic program with Little River.
Last year she took two classes at St. Lawrence University in the High School Enrichment Program. Burnham has ridden and competed horses for the past eleven years.
She plans to take a gap year to continue her work at the Ellen Miller Riding School, while taking a few classes at the University of Vermont.
