Jennifer M. Knack has been appointed assistant professor of psychology at Clarkson University

She received her bachelor of arts degree from St. Bonaventure University and her master of science and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington Before coming to Clarkson, Knack was a postdoctoral fellow and part-time professor at the University of Ottawa, a graduate research assistant, laboratory manager and tutor at the University of Texas at Arlington, and a lab instructor at St. Bonaventure.

Her research interests include examining the influence of social relationships and social pain (e.g., peer victimization) on physical health, biological functioning, and self-regulatory reserve.

Knack is a member of the Society of Personality and Psychology, the Society for Research in Child Development, the Society for Research in Adolescence, the American Psychological Association, the International Society for the Study of Behavioural Development, the Social Personality and Health Network, and Promoting Healthy Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network.

She has made several academic presentations and co-authored several articles and book chapters, some of which are still under review.
