OGDENSBURG -- Kelsi Shippee, a senior from Hermon-DeKalb Central School, has been named the September BOCES student of the month by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
Shippee is a student in the BOCES cosmetology program, taught by Vicky Garrabrant.
“Kelsi is holding a high 90 average and is a very responsible young lady. She has good leadership and communication skills. I see her being very successful in the future,” said Garrabrant.
Shippee hopes to attend SUNY Canton in the fall to study nursing.
She received a certificate from BOCES, a “Chamber Dollars” check and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
