LATHAM -- A Herman resident has reenlisted in the New York Army National Guard, according to Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General.
Sergeant Frist Class James Walrath, Hermon, has reenlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 102nd Military Police Battalion.
"Over the past 3 years the New York Army National Guard has come from far below authorized strength to 100 percent strength," Murphy said in remarks to the force. "Our priority is to provide ready forces for both state and federal missions and readiness starts with maintaining our strength."
