OGDENSBURG -- Jacob Tate, a senior at Hammond Central School was recently chosen as the June BOCES student of the month by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
Tate is a student in the BOCES building trades program taught by Jeff Swift.
“Jacob always puts forth a sincere effort in his work and completes his tasks to the required results with minimal re-work. He is a self-starter, follows direction well and is a team player. He completed a very successful internship with a local contractor and plans on attending SUNY Canton in the fall taking the HVAC program,” Swift said.
He received a certificate from BOCES, a “Chamber Dollars” check, and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
