Josh Toland, a senior at Hammond Central School, was recently selected as the BOCES student of the month by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
Toland is a student in the BOCES metal working program, taught by Jonathan Hughes.
“Josh is a very consistent student who demonstrates excellent attendance and work ethic. He has a very positive attitude toward both students and staff members. He has a willingness to do any jobs or project that comes up. Josh will surely succeed in any career path he chooses,” Hughes said.
Toland plans on pursuing welding after graduation. He will also continue to work on the family farm.
Toland received a certificate from BOCES, a “Chamber Dollars” check, and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
