OGDENSBURG -- Anton Skamperle, an eighth grader, was recently selected as the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce Ogdensburg Free Academy student of the month.
“Anton’s teachers report he is a student who always arrives to classes with an enthusiastic attitude, and is clearly motivated to learn. He organizes his time very well. Anton is extremely outgoing and always willing to help out his fellow students, as well as his teachers,” said Kathy Verville, guidance counselor.
“Anton is a High Honor Student and a standing member of the Junior National Honor Society. He is also involved in the following extra-curricular activities: soccer, basketball, track, and freeze soccer at St. Lawrence University,” she said.
Skamperle received a certificate from OFA, a “Chamber Dollars” check and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
