OGDENSBURG – Blake Bertrand, a senior from Morristown Central School, was recently chosen as the BOCES student of the month by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.

Bertrand is a student in the BOCES metalworking program, taught by Jonathan Hughes.

“Blake is a joy to have in class, always has a smile on his face and easily puts one on everyone else’s, as well. He is an extremely hard worker and is always willing to work on any project given to him. Blake works well with peers and all customers, even difficult ones. His attendance is very good and he consistently comes in and works and helps others on his days he has half days or no school at home school. He always takes the initiative to do work and tackle new welding processes. Blake is NYSDOT certified in vertical 4p and plans to take the test for his overhead in December 2016,” Hughes said.

Bertrand received a certificate from BOCES, a “Chamber Dollars check” sponsored by Key Bank, NA and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
