OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce has announced that October OFA Student of the Month is 8th grader Megan Reed.

“Megan is a cheerful and enthusiastic young lady. She is a very dedicated worker. She goes out of her way to understand what is going on in class and constantly tries to stretch beyond the regular content. Megan is also very willing to help fellow students when they are in need. Megan is involved in several activities; both inside and outside of school. Megan is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, Builder’s Club, and Band (making it to NYSMA last year),” said Pamela Luckie, OFA middle school principal.

“Megan was selected to attend Horizon’s Summer Camp (Math and Science based) at Clarkson during the summer. Megan is also an athlete; playing soccer and lacrosse for OFA last year. She is on the swim team this year, and plans to play lacrosse again this spring. Outside activities include Girl Scouts and dance (tap, jazz and toe). She teaches dance as well, at Julie’s Dance Studio,” said Luckie.

Reed received a certificate from OFA, a Chamber Dollars check sponsored by Ed-Med Federal Credit Union and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
