Paul Sweet of Gouverneur recently graduated from Lycoming College with a bachelor of arts degree in theater and psychology.

More than 240 students graduated during the college's 168th annual commencement ceremony May 7.

Rafael Moreno Valle, the 38th governor of the Mexican state of Puebla, delivered the keynote address, where he encouraged students to hold fast to their values and persevere to achieve their own personal and career goals, according to a press release from the college.

Lycoming College is a four-year, residential liberal arts and sciences school with an enrollment of 1,400 students.

Lycoming offers 36 academic majors and is located near the banks of the Susquehanna River in Williamsport, Penn.

Lycoming is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the nation, the release said.
