Four students chosen as students of the month for September at Norwood-Norfolk Central School

Four local students were recently chosen as students of the month for September at Norwood-Norfolk Central School.

Sydney Levison was chosen as the freshman student of the month for September.

She is the daughter of Ted and Lisa Levison of Norwood.

She loves running, reading and photography. She runs cross-country and indoor track and is a member of the drama club.

She plans to go to college and be successful in both school and running.

Vanessa Prashaw was chosen as the sophomore student of the month for September.

She is the daughter of Ellen and Jeff Prashaw of Norwood.

She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She participates in school activities such as soccer, softball and drama club.

She plans to go to college.

Sarah Morse was chosen as the junior student of the month for September.

She is the daughter of Edward and Kristina Morse of Norwood.

She loves to sing and dance and watch zombie movies and read.

She has been a member of the Key Club since 2012. She is also on the prom committee and participates in fundraisers for the class of 2017.

She plans to complete her education and start working.

Leah Livernois was chosen as the senior student of the month for September.

She is the daughter of Glenn and Carrie Livernois of Norwood.

She is interested in sports and other activities and concentrates on doing well in school. She is a member of band, jazz band, robotics, “Whiz Quiz,” science club and Key Club. She runs cross-country and indoor track.

She enjoys running, skiing, wake boarding, biking, reading being with friends and playing the trumpet.

Upon completion of high school, she plans to attend college and get a degree in engineering or environmental studies.

“Students are selected for their academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community,” according to a press release from the school.

The students received gift cards from local restaurants. The businesses that donated were the Hotel Grande and Al Smiths of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.
