Former St. Lawrence County resident to hold solo 'Shorelines' exhibit

Suzanne Langelier-Lebeda, a former St. Lawrence County resident, will hold a solo exhibit titled “Shorelines” at the Adirondack Artists Guild.

The exhibit will kick off with an opening reception Friday, May 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit will run through July 1.

The images, inspired by Adirondack streams and riverbanks, are drawings of places that hold particular significance for the artist.

“Expressing the limitless metaphors of promise in nature is my work." Langelier-Lebeda says. "How to look for and recognize the message, how to absorb it, how to let it become its own line and form is the focus of my work. The photographs I take are the frameworks that isolate what captures my attention in natural formations, like the complexity of entangled roots and rocks along the banks, brooks, narrow streams and rivers in the Adirondacks.”

Langelier-Lebeda lives on the Racquette River at the edge of Adirondack Park. As a freelance illustrator she has completed a book cover and a 52 page book with CD that introduces young children to classical music, both being released this year.

Her website, suzannelebeda.com, is in the process of being updated. She has been a member of The Adirondack Artists' Guild since 2004.
