POTSDAM -- Robert Wilson Jr., a 2007 Potsdam Central School graduate, completed the US Marine basic training at Marine Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina Jan. 11.
Wilson completed rigorous 13 weeks of basic training consisting of classroom training, martial arts, marksmanship with a M-16A4 rifle, physical fitness and swimming. The final test consists of the 54-hour “crucible.”
Wilson is the son of Robert Wilson Sr., Winthrop and Darcy Wilson, Potsdam.
His sister Crystal Wilson completed Marine basic training May 11, 2012.
