Doug Huntley, former Massena Central School superintendent and current Queensbury schools superintendent, will receive a Boy Scouts Good Scout Award at a dinner in his honor this month.

The award is “for his continuous leadership and support of numerous community organizations, including Scouting,” according to the announcement on the Twin Rivers Boy Scout Council website.

Huntley, a Canton native and son of Ann Huntley and the late Roger Huntley, will receive the Wakpominee District’s award May 10 at the Great Escape Lodge. He is a graduate of Canton High School and former principal of Potsdam High School.
