A former Canton man serving with the U.S. Marine Corps was recently promoted to captain after returning from an overseas deployment.
“During his tour, Tulloch showed exemplary teaching techniques and high physical fitness performance and in return is being promoted early,” according to his sister, Sarah Murphy. She described his deployment as “grueling and demanding.”
Earlier this year, Tulloch had a starring role on the Discovery Channel’s show “Combat Countdown” and is being considered for other parts, Murphy said.
Tulloch is also passionate about helping stray cats with his charity, Freedom for Felines, which places cats in loving homes with military families, Murphy said.
He is now stationed at Camp Pendleton, just north of San Diego, Calif.
Tulloch is the son of Michael and Gail Tulloch of Canton.
