U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Joshua K. Tupper, formerly of Canton, recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

He completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills, according to a press release.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force, the release said.

Tupper is the son of Kevin Tupper of Canton.

He is a 2011 graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton.

He earned a bachelor's degree in 2015 from Clarkson University.
