NORWOOD -- The Seaway Career & Technical Education Center student Mason Coffey was selected as the Potsdam Rotary Club student of the month for May.
He is the son of Elaine Coffey and Paul Coffey and is a student at Colton-Pierrepont Central School.
As a student in natural resource management, Coffey is involved in a wide range of equipment operation and maintenance, as well as management of natural resources, according to a press release from BOCES.
Upon completion of the program, Coffey would be eligible to be an entry-level employee in forestry and natural resources.
“Mason is a fine young man. He works hard and can be trusted to get the job done,” said John Morgan, Coffey’s instructor.
The following students were selected as student of the month for individual classes at the Seaway Tech Center:
• Vanessa Cordwell, cosmetology, Norwood-Norfolk
• Leah Moore, criminal justice, Potsdam
• Montana Phelix, early childhood education, St. Lawrence Central
• Courtney DiTullio, health careers, Potsdam
