OGDENSBURG – Some Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center patient access staff are now Certified Healthcare Access Associates (CHAAs) through the National Association of Health Access Management (NAHAM.)
The CHAA examination for certification addresses three different areas of expertise, patient access foundations, pre-arrival, and arrival. Candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency by answering examination questions that evaluate their knowledge of facts, concepts, and processes required to complete the daily tasks of a patient access associate.
