POTSDAM -- Laura Goshko has been appointed clinical assistant professor of physician assistant studies at Clarkson University.
Goshko, a licensed pharmacist, will teach courses in pharmacotherapeutics, physiology modules, medical informatics and the “Master’s Project.”
Goshko received her bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and her master of science degree in physiology and neurobiology from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, she completed a biology teacher certification program from the University of Connecticut in 1988.
Before coming to Clarkson, she worked as a pharmacist in Connecticut. After receiving her New York pharmacist license in 2006, she worked at pharmacies in Canton and Potsdam. She was also a diabetes education coordinator at Canton-Potsdam Hospital from 2009 to 2010.
In 2009, she completed the American Pharmacist Association Immunization Certificate Program as well as the American Pharmacist Association Diabetes Certificate Program.
Goshko was an adjunct instructor and pharmacotherapeutics coordinator at Clarkson throughout 2012. She previously taught introductory anatomy and physiology at Mater Dei College.
Her honors and affiliations include the Dean’s Award at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy and memberships in the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society and the Pharmacy Alumni Association. She also co-wrote an article for Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology.
