Her winning entry, the CAMP Annual Report Newsletter: 2009-2010, faired extremely well in the competition. She has over 150 professional publications including 11 books, several book chapters, science encyclopedia entries, journal features, scripts for aired television shows, and music CDs. This work is published in the United States, Japan, England, Australia, Malaysia, India and other countries.

Barry has five graduate degrees, one of which is a Ph.D. in engineering from Osaka University in Japan. Her biographical profile is listed in Marquis Who's Who publications, including Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in American Education, Who's Who of American Women, and others. Also, her biographical entry has been selected to appear in the tenth anniversary edition of the International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women.
