Clarkson professor edits two new books to be published this spring

POTSDAM -- Evgeny Katz, the Milton Kerker Chaired Professor of Colloid Science at Clarkson University, has edited two new books, which will be published this spring by Wiley-VCH.

Molecular and Supramolecular Information Processing: From Molecular Switches to Logic Systems covers a variety of different systems in chemical computing, providing a unique overview of this field and the possible applications.

Biomolecular Information Processing: From Logic Systems to Smart Sensors and Actuators covers the rapidly developing research area of biomolecular computing systems and their applications with contributions from major researchers in the field.

Katz has held the Milton Kerker chair since he came to Clarkson in 2006.

Previously he was a research associate professor at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a senior research scientist at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

His research interests include biocomputing, biofunctionalized nanomaterials, bionanoengineering, bionanotechnology for bioelectronic applications and biosensors.
